Privacy Policy
PS Equipment Ltd ("PS Equipment", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and the Information Privacy Principles.
Last updated: 6 June 2026
1. Scope
This policy applies to personal information collected by PS Equipment through our website, phone, email, in-person meetings, sales and service interactions, and dealings with suppliers and contractors. PS Equipment is the agency responsible for personal information collected by us under the Privacy Act 2020.
2. Information we collect

We use personal information to:
- Respond to enquiries and prepare quotes
- Supply equipment, parts, builds and services, and arrange freight and certification
- Provide technical, warranty and after-sales support

5. Overseas transfers
Some suppliers and service providers are based outside New Zealand (for example in Japan, Korea and Australia). Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient is required to protect that information in a way that, overall, provides comparable safeguards to the Privacy Act 2020.
7. Storage & security
Personal information is held in our business systems and reputable third-party services. We apply reasonable physical, technical and organisational safeguards — including access controls, encryption in transit, and staff confidentiality obligations — to protect against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
8. Retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes set out above or as required by New Zealand law (for example, tax records under the Tax Administration Act 1994, and equipment service and certification records). When no longer required, information is securely destroyed or de-identified.
9. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of that information if it is inaccurate

If a notifiable privacy breach occurs, we will notify the Office of the Privacy Commissioner and any affected individuals as required by the Privacy Act 2020.
11. Children
Our website and services are directed to businesses and trade customers and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
