Concrete Line Pumps NZ

Trailer-mounted line pumps for slabs, residential foundations, blockwork fill and access-restricted sites.

Quick answer

Concrete line pumps are trailer-mounted piston pumps that move concrete through a hose or pipeline rather than a boom. They suit slabs, residential foundations and tight-access work. PS Equipment supplies DY line pumps to NZ operators with diesel or electric drive options.

Who this equipment is for
  • Owner/operators starting out in concrete pumping
  • Residential builders running their own slab pours
  • Operators servicing tight-access urban sites
  • Specialist work — blockwork fill, screeds, grout, shotcrete
What to consider

Selection criteria

Output

40–80 m³/h covers most line pump work. Higher output suits commercial slab work; lower output suits long-distance pumping and specialist mixes.

Pressure

Pressure determines how far and how high you can pump. Long-distance and high-rise pumping needs higher-pressure units.

Drive

Diesel suits site-based work; electric drive suits indoor or noise-restricted work.

Hose and pipeline

Plan hose and pipeline runs — line pumps are only as good as the line they pump through. Quality hose and clamps matter.

Tow and setup

Confirm tow weight and licensing. Setup time on a line pump is fast — that's part of the appeal.

FAQs

Buyer questions, answered

Common questions from NZ operators. If yours isn't here, talk to Shaun.

What's the difference between a line pump and a boom pump?+
Line pumps move concrete through hose or pipeline only. Boom pumps add a placing boom on a truck, so you can reach across or up a site.
Are line pumps cheaper to own?+
Generally yes — lower capital cost, simpler to maintain and easier to operate. They suit smaller-volume work.
Can a line pump handle long-distance pumping?+
Higher-pressure units can pump long distances or to height, but pipeline sizing and mix design matter more than the pump alone.
Diesel or electric drive — which is better?+
Diesel for site work; electric for indoor, basement or noise-restricted work.
What hose size should I use?+
Most line pump work uses 3-inch or 4-inch hose. We can advise on hose runs and end pieces.
Do you supply trailer pumps for shotcrete?+
Some trailer pump models are suited to wet-mix shotcrete with the right setup. Tell us the application.
